Request for Statement of Qualifications – Chippewa WWTP Design Project

Request for Statement of Qualifications – Chippewa WWTP Design Project

The Medina County Sanitary Engineers (MCSE) is seeking Statement of Qualifications (SOQ’s) from interested consulting firms for professional design services described herein.

The Medina County Commissioners own an existing Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), better known as the Chippewa WWTP, located on a flat 9.5-acre parcel at the intersection of Lake Road and Kennard Road in Westfield Township, Ohio.  The Chippewa service area encompasses approximately 63 square miles and includes Chippewa Lake Village and the Village of Gloria Glens, both which are primarily residential and served by existing sanitary sewers.  In 2000, Medina County (County) purchased the 25-acre parcel adjacent to the WWTP’s east property line and is a mix of agricultural fields and wooded area. The additional acreage provides an opportunity for a new WWTP to be constructed without changing the WWTP’s discharge location and keeping the existing WWTP operational during construction.

MCSE is seeking qualified engineering firms to provide professional design services in the following categories: Service Area Study, Surveying, Permitting, Funding, Pump Station Assessment, Pump Station Design, WWTP Design, Technical Specifications, Bidding Process, and Construction Management.

Please visit www.medinaco.org/sanitary (Bid Projects) to obtain a full copy of the request for SOQ’s.

Statement of Qualifications are due Friday, August 25, 2023, by 1:30 p.m. (eastern standard time). Late submissions will not be considered.

Statement of Qualifications are to be submitted via email to:
