Sealed bids for Office Renovations for Medina County Solid Waste District will be received by the County at 791 West Smith Road, Medina, OH 44256, until 12:00 noon, January 25th, 2021 and will be opened and recorded immediately thereafter. The proposed work consists of the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the Office Renovations as described in the Bid Documents.
Proposals shall be addressed to 791 West Smith Road, Medina, OH 44256; Medina County Solid Waste District, and be clearly marked as BID FOR: OFFICE RENOVATIONS – REBID. All bid proposals shall be submitted in duplicate.
The Contract Documents, including copies of the Drawings, Project Manual, Proposal Form, Forms of Contract and Bond, are on file and may be examined at Roller Reprographic Services Inc. at 11907 Market St., North Lima, OH 44452; 330.549.0377; www.rollerplanroom.com
A Pre-Bid Conference shall be held on January 12th, on site at 8700 Lake Road, Seville, OH 44273 at 10:00am. After the conference meeting, the site will be available for contractors’ walkthroughs.

Each Proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashiers check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of ten (10%) of the amount bid or a bid bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) of the amount bid, such check or bid bond shall be made payable to Medina County Commissioners and to be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and a contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance of the contract in the sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total price bid for the complete work, said bond to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio and shall be underwritten by a surety that is listed on the most current Department of the Treasury Circular 570, “Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds”.
All bids shall be submitted on special blank forms furnished by the Architect, and shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond conforming to Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Medina County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bids which it deems favorable.
No bids may be withdrawn, after the schedule closing time for the receipt of bids, for at least sixty (60) days.
