REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)
LEAD SAFE OHIO PROGRAM
MEDINA COUNTY SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION

Introduction
The Ohio Department of Development’s (DOD) Office of Community Development (OCD) has allocated $95 million to the Lead Safe Ohio Program with the goal of promoting primary prevention and reducing immediate and presumed lead hazards in residential properties, congregate care settings, and childcare facilities built before 1978. The Lead Safe Ohio Program will achieve this goal by funding lead safe renovation, lead abatement, and supportive measures in all 88 Ohio counties. Medina County is eligible to apply for $802,000.

The Medina County Commissioners are soliciting proposals from selected organizations relevant to their work capabilities and qualifications to submit an application for the Lead Safe Ohio Program.

Scope of Work, Timeline, Payment for Services
• Prepare and submit the Lead Safe Ohio Program Application for Medina County complying with and meeting deadlines in the Lead Safe Ohio (LSO) Program Application Instructions published by the Ohio Department of Development in July 2023.

• Timeline

o LSO Application Live Date: Wednesday, August 23, 2023
o LSO Application Due Date: Wednesday, September 13, 2023
o LSO Grant Award: December 1, 2023

• Payment for Services

o Medina County will submit payment after the LSO Grant Awards are announced.

Application Materials
• A list of key personnel including qualifications and experience. Preference will be given to applicants with DOD grant application experience.
• A synopsis of the organization’s experience in preparing and writing grant applications.
• A list of other communities for which the organization provides (or has provided) similar grant application support.
