Request for Proposals – Hinckley WWTP Headworks Improvement Project 2022

Medina County Sanitary Engineers has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Hinckley Wastewater Treatment Plant Headworks Improvement Project 2022.  The intent of the Project is to effectively update the raw wastewater influent screening technology and eliminate the existing comminutors in the facility.  The scope of work is to include the evaluation of the existing system, design and preparation of specifications for its replacement, assistance with the bidding process including preparation of contract documents as well as construction management services.

Proposals will be received by the Medina County Sanitary Engineer at their office located at 791 W. Smith Road, Medina, Ohio, 44256 until no later than 1:30 P.M. eastern standard time on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.  Two (2) copies of the proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and must be clearly marked: “Hinckley WWTP Headworks Improvement Project” clearly listing the consultant’s name and address.

Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein.  Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity.

Consultants submitting proposals on this project should be thoroughly familiar with the rules, regulations and practices of this department.

All prospective interested parties are required to attend a mandatory pre-proposal meeting to be held at the Hinckley WWTP, 85 Ridge Road, Hinckley, Ohio at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 13, 2021.

Medina County Sanitary Engineers reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive proposal informalities, and to accept the lowest responsible proposal that serves the interest of the department.
