Public Notice – Notice of Public Hearings Regarding Proposed Increases to Sanitary Sewer and Water Rates

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS REGARDING PROPOSED INCREASES TO SANITARY SEWER AND WATER RATES

Notice is hereby given that the Medina County Board of Commissioners will conduct three (3) public hearings to receive public comment regarding proposed increases to sanitary sewer and water rates charged by the Medina County Sanitary Engineering Department.

The proposed rate increases are as follows:

SANITARY SEWER RATES

Sanitary sewer user rate: Increase from $32.75 to $36.00 per equivalent residential unit (ERU) per month.
Sanitary sewer debt charge: Increase from $11.00 to $16.00 per ERU per month.

WATER RATES

Water user rate: Increase from $10.50 to $12.50 per 1,000 gallons.
Water debt charge: Increase from $10.00 to $13.00 per equivalent meter ratio (EMR) per month.

Medina County Administration Building
144 N. Broadway Street, Room 201
Medina, Ohio 44256

Hearing Dates and Times:

Monday, October 5, 2026 — 1:00 p.m.
Monday, October 5, 2026 — 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday, October 13, 2026 — 8:30 a.m.

Members of the public are invited to attend and provide comments concerning the proposed sanitary sewer and water rate increases.

The proposed rate increases have not yet been adopted. Following completion of the public hearings and consideration of public comments, the Board of County Commissioners will consider whether to adopt the proposed rate increases.
