The second annual In-Demand Jobs Week of Summit and Medina Counties, a statewide celebration of jobs, industries, and skills that are in-demand in Ohio, will be held May 6-10, 2019.  Throughout the week, both Counties will host various career, skills, and interview events within for high-growth industry sectors, as well as open houses, workshops, and job fairs.

The daily events will primarily focus on the fields of transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, and other emerging occupations, while also providing opportunities to learn about free services available at the Summit and Medina OhioMeansJobs centers, including apprenticeships, and dressing for success. Participants will also have a chance to talk with various employers, contractors, apprentices, and instructors.

“In-Demand Jobs Week provides a fantastic opportunity for job seekers and students to learn about high-growth industry careers,” said County Executive Ilene Shapiro. “Summit County has so much to offer in education and job training and we hope our residents will take advantage of the opportunities offered this week.”
