Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
The Medina County Board of Commissioners has been informed that it will receive an allocation in the amount of $500,000 ($350,000 for the County and $150,000 for the City of Wadsworth) from Ohio’s CDBG Program for PY 2022. Medina County Townships, Villages, public and not for profit agencies and organizations, and the Cities of Brunswick and Wadsworth are eligible to apply for project funding through this program. In order to be eligible, projects must provide direct benefit to:
- Low/moderate income residents (income surveys may be required).
- Disabled residents (ADA compliance/accommodations).
- Elderly residents.
- Elimination of slum and blight conditions.
A public hearing is scheduled on Tuesday, May 10 at 2:30 p.m. located at the County Administration Building Balcony Room B (144 North Broadway, Medina) in order to discuss potential eligible activities and program requirements.
I have enclosed an application form and associated instructions for your review. The deadline for submission of this application to the Board of County Commissioners is Friday, May 27, 2022 at 4:30 pm. Please send the completed application document directly to my attention.
