Notice of Public Hearing

The Medina County Board of Commissioners intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The County of Medina is eligible to receive $372,000 for Program Year (PY) 2018. On May 11, 2018, the County conducted its first public hearing to inform citizens about various CDBG funded programs administered by the State, how funds may be used, eligible activities, and program requirements. The following funding requests for PY 2018 have been received by the County:

1. City of Brunswick — Road Resurfacing — $80,000.00
2. City of Wadsworth — Waterline Replacement — $80,000.00
3. Hinckley Township — Historic Society ADA Upgrade — $73,390.00
4. Liverpool Township Residential Demolition — $34,366.50
5. Medina County — Administration — $24,180.00
6. Medina County — Fair Housing — $5,000.00
7. Medina County — Transit services — $55,800.00
8. Medina Creative Housing — Weymouth School ADA Upgrade — $85,000.00
9. Medina Township — ADA Playground — $52,000.00
10. Montville Township — Park ADA Improvements — $51,238.00
11. Spencer Township — Town Hall ADA Upgrades — $51,400.00
12. Village of Lodi — Central Park Fountain Repair — $39,800.00
13. Village of Lodi — Community Park Restroom Rehab — $32,500.00
14. Village of Lodi — Village Hall ADA Restrooms — $33,000.00

A second public hearing will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at the Medina County Administration Building, 144 N. Broadway, Medina, Room 201. The hearing will allow community and agency representatives the opportunity to present their projects and citizens an adequate opportunity to view and comment on the proposed programs and the County’s PY 2018 CDBG application and activities.
