LEGAL NOTICE
Medina County Safety Services Training and Operations Facility
The Board of Commissioners of Medina County (the “County”) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
The Renovation and Expansion of the Medina County Emergency Management Agency
Safety Services Facility located at 5834 Heather Hedge Drive, and Identified herein as
the “Medina County Safety Services Training and Operations Facility Project.”
All Bids must be filed using the forms provided as Exhibits in this package. Bids are to be submitted or mailed to the Office of the Board of Commissioners of Medina County at 144 North Broadway Street, Room 201, Medina, Ohio 44256. Bids must be received no later than 4:30 PM, August 11, 2023 in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Medina County Safety Services Training and Operations Facility Project,” and shall bear the name of the Bidder. Bids received after the deadline will be rejected.
A full bid package, including specifications, plans, bidding forms, and contract documents for this Project are available at the Office of the Board of Commissioners of Medina County, 144 North Broadway St., Room 201, Medina, OH 44256, by contacting Chris Jakab, the County Administrator at 330-722-9201, cjakab@ohmedinaco.org; Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Construction drawings only may be downloaded below.
The Architect’s Base Bid Estimate is $734,000.
The Architect’s Estimates for three (3) additional work projects at the site are:
- Parking Lot Construction and Paving: $120,200;
- Painting Interior of Present Structure: $15,740;
- Installation of Fiber Reinforced Paneling: $15,738.
All prospective bidders, contractors, and other interested parties are invited to attend an optional Pre-Bid meeting which will be held at 1:30 PM August 3, 2023 at the Medina County Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security 5834 Heather Hedge Drive, Chippewa Lake, OH 44215. Project requirements will be reviewed, followed by a tour of the Site. The County reserves the right to reject any/or all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities, and/or accept the bid deemed the lowest and the best.
Bidders must comply with Ohio prevailing wage laws.
