INVITATION TO BID
Village of Lodi Park Improvements
Contractors are hereby invited to submit a Bid for one or both of two projects in the Village of Lodi:
- Repair of the fountain in the Central Park near 108 Ainsworth Street, and
- Acquisition and installation of playground equipment in the Community Park.
All Bids must be filed using the forms provided as Exhibits in this package. Bids are to be submitted or mailed to the Office of the Medina County Department of Planning Services (DPS) at 144 North Broadway Street, Room 113, Medina, Ohio 44256. Bids must be received no later than 4:00 PM, May 18, 2022 in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Village of Lodi Park Improvements Project,” and shall bear the name of the Bidder. Bids received after the deadline will be rejected.
Specifications, Bidding Forms, and Contract Documents are available at the Medina County Dept. of Planning Services (DPS) office, 144 North Broadway St., Room 113, Medina, OH 44256, 330-722-9292, rhenwood@medinaco.org; Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The Contract Bid documents may also be obtained on-line at www.medinaco.org/bids-and-legal-notices/.
The Base Bid Engineers Estimates are as follows:
Project 1 (fountain repair): $30,000.00
Project 2 (playground equipment purchase and installation): $112,000.00
Bidders may submit for Project 1 or 2 or both. Bidders submitting for Project 2 are to provide costs for equipment comparable to the equipment shown on the attached quote.
Should a question arise at any time during the examination of Bid Documents or investigation of the site, the Bidder may seek clarification by submitting a Pre-Bid Question. All Pre-Bid Questions should be submitted in writing to the DPS via email. DPS will provide a response to all questions submitted before a deadline of 4:00 PM, May 10, 2022. Responses to Pre-Bid Questions will be provided by Addendum, a copy of which will be emailed or faxed to each person receiving a set of Contract Documents. DPS is not obligated to respond to, or otherwise act upon, a Pre-Bid Question submitted after this deadline, but reserves the right to act upon any information received.
All prospective bidders, contractors, and other interested parties are invited to attend an optional Pre-Bid meeting which will be held at 1:30 PM, May 11, 2022 at the Village of Lodi office, 108 Ainsworth Street, Lodi, Ohio 44254. Project requirements will be reviewed, followed by a tour of the sites. The Board of Commissioners of Medina County (Commissioners) and the Village of Lodi (Village) reserve the right to reject any/or all Bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities, and/or accept the Bid deemed the lowest and the best.
(Bidders must comply with Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (Federal prevailing wage).)
