MEDINA COUNTY COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENTS BOARD VACANCY
The Medina County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for an individual to serve as a representative to the Medina County Community Improvements Board. The Community Improvement Board is a nine-member public body created in February 2007 for the purpose of distributing revenue from the one-half percent sales and use tax levied in Medina County to fund public improvements in all local school districts. The Board is responsible for determining and certifying to the Board of Commissioners the estimated grant revenue to be transferred to the Community Improvements fund and the total amount of grants that may be awarded during the current year. Per requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, not more than three members shall be of the same political party, therefore, this vacancy may only be filled by a democrat or independent voter. The term for this voluntary position will expire March 22, 2022.
