Board Opening Notice

The Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD) is seeking a candidate to serve as a Board Member effective January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2025. The MCBDD is comprised of seven volunteer members who are appointed by the Medina County Commissioners or a Medina County Probate Judge. Board member terms are four years and they receive no compensation for their service.

By design, the MCBDD Board is specifically comprised of a balance between members who have relatives with developmental disabilities and community members who do not have a direct connection to the field. The Board is currently seeking a candidate who does not have a family member receiving services from the MCBDD and who has a background in Medical/Health Care or HR/Personnel/Business. Applicants must be a Medina County resident, able to attend regularly scheduled monthly meetings which are typically held on the fourth Monday of each month at the MCBDD Achievement Center, and complete an additional four hours of training in the field of developmental disabilities per year.

Additional information about Board Member roles and responsibilities may be found on the MCBDD website at under the “About” tab. If interested in being considered to serve on the MCBDD Board, please contact Rhonda Beck at the Medina County Commissioners’ Office at or 330-722-9208 for an application. Applications along with letters of interest are due by Tuesday, January 26, 2022.
