What does the County Treasurer do?

Treasurer is the collector and safe-keeper of tax money for the county, schools,
municipalities, villages, and townships. |

What are our investment goals?
|
We have consistently
achieved our three investment goals:
- Safety - The taxpayers' money has been held to the highest standards of care. Unlike some other
counties, which have lost money, Medina County has never lost any taxpayer money through
its investment practices.
- Liquidity - Daily
cash management is necessary to ensure that funds are available to meet the needs of the
county.
- Yield - Maximizing
return on investments during the last three years has resulted in the highest interest
earnings on record.
