designed for those age 60 and over, are funded by the Medina County Commissioners and the
Ohio Department of Aging through the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging.
No set fees are charged for these services, but donations are encouraged. Social Service Outreach Workers are available to provide information on these and other OOA services and will conduct an assessment to determine eligibility. |

ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (HEAP)

You may qualify for assistance with home heating costs this winter. If your income is at or below $13,290 (single person) and you are able to provide proof of income, such as social security documentation, payroll stubs, etc., contact the O.O.A. Outreach workers can visit your home to provide more information or assist with you with completing the application. Call us at the numbers listed above. |

The
Medina County Senior Center offers a variety of programs open to all senior citizens. We
welcome and encourage participation from younger folks as well. Call for activity dates
and times.

SUPPORT GROUP FOR CHILDREN OF AGING PARENTS In conjunction with the national Children of Aging Parents Organization, we provide a free support group to help adult children deal with issues surrounding care for their parents. The support group will deal with such information as referral assistance for service providers, services available in Medina County, self-care, talking with doctors, care management services, home-care providers, and all issues related to caring for parents. The support group meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m., Ground Floor, Medina Human Services Center, 246 Northland Drive, Medina.
