Sealed bids will be received and opened by the Medina County Board of Commissioners in their hearing room in the Administration Building, 144 North Broadway, Medina, Ohio, on December 8, 2008, at 1:30 p.m., Ohio Time, for various aggregate materials to be furnished to the Medina County Highway Department during the year 2009 (January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009) at the unit prices stipulated. Information for bidders, specifications and bid forms may be obtained at the Medina County Highway Department, 6100 Wedgewood Road, Medina, Ohio, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Any questions regarding bid information may be directed to Dan Fry, Roadside Supervisor, at 330-764-8780 ext. 107. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check on a solvent bank in the amount of $100.00, conditioned that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, shall execute a contract in conformity to this notice and his bid. Said bid shall be filed in a sealed envelope marked, “Aggregate Bid” at the proper time and place. In accordance with the Ohio Revised Code Section 2902.33, the successful bidder will be required to certify that it does not provide material assistance to any organization on the United States Department of State Terrorist Exclusion List. The Terrorist Exclusion List may be found on the Ohio Homeland Security Web site at: http://www.homelandsecurity.ohio.gov/ Certification shall be made by completing a Declaration Regarding Material Assistance/Non-assistance To a Terrorist Organization Form. Each bidder shall be required to file with his bid an Affidavit of Compliance with section 3517.13 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bids may be awarded to multiple suppliers for purposes of availability and location. The Board of Medina County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

The Medina County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids for the provision of supplemental transportation services for Medicaid and Ohio Works First Programs in the County. Said bids are being sought to augment transportation services being provided by Medina County Public Transit for the Medina County Department of Job and Family Services. Services shall commence January 1, 2009 and continue until December 31, 2009. Specifications are available from Medina County Public Transit, 144 N. Broadway, Medina, Ohio 44256, phone (330) 723-9670. Sealed bids clearly marked “Supplemental Transportation Services” are due at the office of the Medina County Commissioners at 144 N. Broadway, Medina, Ohio 44256 by 10:00 AM local time, November 20, 2008 and will be opened at that time as prescribed by law.

Bulk chemical bids for the Medina County Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities will be received by the Board of County Commissioners in their offices located at 144 N. Broadway, Medina, Ohio until 1:30 P.M. OHIO TIME, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2008 at which time said bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Specifications and information to bidders for Liquid Chlorine, Sodium Hypochlorite, Liquid Aluminum Sulphate, and Quick Lime are available at the Medina County Sanitary Engineering Department, 791 W. Smith Road, Medina, Ohio 44256.
