BID NOTICE
The Board of Medina County Commissioners will accept SEALED BIDS in their office, located at 144 N. Broadway, Medina, Ohio 44256 until 1:30 PM OHIO TIME, Thursday, September 2, 2010 at which time said bids will be opened and publicly read aloud for the demolition and disposal of one (1) existing Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC); and the purchase and installation of one (1) new RBC inside the existing nitrification building at the Hinckley Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Specifications and contract documents are available at the Medina County Sanitary Engineer s Office, 791 W. Smith Road; Medina, Ohio 44256. The estimated construction cost of this project is: $ 140,000.00
All prospective BIDDERS, CONTRACTORS and other interested parties are invited to attend a pre bid meeting at the Hinckley Wastewater Treatment Plant, 85 Ridge Road, Hinckley, Ohio at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 24, 2010.
Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty, payable to the owner in an approved form.
Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity.
The Board of County Commissioners reserve the right to reject and/or accept all bids submitted.

OHIO TIME, THURSDAY, August 26, 2010 at which time said bids will be opened and publicly read aloud for the disassembling and replacement of current belts for Solid Waste Conveyors 601& 602, and Baler Feed Conveyors 611 and 612 at the Medina County Solid Waste Processing Facility located at 8700 Lake Road in Westfield Township, Ohio.

LEGAL NOTICE
The Medina County Board of Commissioners is applying to the Ohio Department of Transportation for an operating and capital assistance grant under 49 U.S.C. Section 5311 of the Federal Transit laws, as codified, and the Ohio Public Transportation Grant program. The operating grant will provide financial assistance for public transportation service for the residents of Medina County during the 2011 calendar year. Demand response service currently operates Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Transit fares are charged on the basis of trip mileage. Fixed route service is available within the City of Medina, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; standard fare is $1.00 per one-way passenger trip. The capital grant will provide financial assistance for preventative vehicle maintenance, vehicle purchases, and computer equipment. A supplemental grant will provide State funds to offset the fares for qualified elderly and disabled passengers. Copies of the detailed service description and project budget may be obtained by contacting Medina County Public Transit at 330-764-8102 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. A public hearing will be held on August 23, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Ohio time in the County Administration Building, Room 201, 144 N. Broadway, for public comment on the application.
