1-14-08     Melinda Herman v. Jeff Fisk

Case No. 07 CIV 0433

This is an automobile accident case where the Plaintiff claims that the Defendant was negligent while driving his car in which Plaintiff was a passenger. Defendant denies that he was negligent.

Plaintiff was represented by attorney Randy Moore of Cleveland, Ohio. The Defendant was represented by attorney Jim Hanratty of Akron, Ohio.

Verdict:  After two days of trial, the court declared a mistrial.

1-22-08     Daniel Pannozo v. Sandridge Foods, Inc.

Case No. 07 CIV 0508

This matter was an employment contract case where the Plaintiff claims he had a contract with the Defendant and was unfairly terminated. Defendant denied any contract violation.

Plaintiff was represented by attorney Eric Hall of Medina, Ohio. Defendant was represented by attorney James Curek of Akron, Ohio.

Verdict:  After two days of trial, the court granted a directed verdict for Defendant and against the Plaintiff.

1-28-08     State of Ohio v. Elizabeth Vandevender

Case No. 07 CR 0522

This is a criminal case where the State of Ohio has charged the Defendant with theft from her employer, Curves. Defendant denies she took over $5,000 from her employer.

Verdict:  After one day of trial, the defendant changed her plea to guilty to the indictment.

2-11-08     Rogers v. Surgical Associates of Medina, Inc.

Case No. 07 CIV 0676

This jury trial involved a claim by the surviving spouse of a man who Plaintiff claims was a victim of medical malpractice. Plaintiff claims that Dr. Warren Rose and Dr. Susan Goodrich fell below the standard of care when they treated her husband. The Defendant doctors deny they committed malpractice.

The Plaintiff was represented by attorney Gary Mankowski from Sharon Center, Ohio. The Defendant was represented by attorney Stephen Walters of Akron, Ohio.

Verdict:  After a four day trial, the jury found in favor of the Defendants and against the Plaintiff.
