Services Provided for All
Residents at the Medina County Home
- Private or Semi-Private Room (family-owned
items, such as a chair, a dresser, and a TV may be brought and
placed in the room)
- Three hearty, home-cooked meals per day (special diets
are
provided and are monitored by a dietitian) and snacks
- Full laundry service
- Full cleaning service
- Assistance or supervision in activities of daily living including
bathing, grooming, skin care, oral care, nail care, dressing,
toileting, and minimal assistance with ambulation
- Personal supervision and protection from
environmental and other hazards
- Provision of a Medical Director, who is also
the County Home Physician. Assures quality medical care for
our residents
- Lab services provided through area hospitals
- Monitoring of vital signs
- Assistance with oral, topical or injected
medications
- Application of simple dressings, routine
wound care
- Licensed R.N. and L.P.N. on staff
- Medications and prescriptions dispensed by nursing staff
- In-house podiatry services
- In-house hearing tests
- Provision of dental and optical care through
local medical providers
- In-house beautician and barber services
- Various activities including parties, picnics, and church services
and programs
- Transportation for shopping trips and outings
- Facility is equipped with fire alarms, smoke detectors, and
sprinklers. ALL are connected directly to 911 Emergency
Response.
