Adult Day Care Service

Mission Statement:   Medina County Adult Day Care Service provides custodial care for individuals in a safe, caring, home-like atmosphere.  We will enable individuals to continue living as independently as possible while promoting their social, physical, and emotional well being.

Philosophy:  It is the philosophy to incorporate the Adult Day Care Service with the daily routine of the Medina County Home and to provide a comfortable setting, enhancing the socialization and peace of mind for adults that are not capable of full-time independent living and allowing caregivers to work or have "time off" from care giving responsibilities.

Hours of Operation:  Monday - Friday

• 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM

• Closed all Legal Holidays

• Closed on severe weather days as decided by the Board of County Commissioners

• Hours can vary according to special needs

Who can participate?  Eligible participants must be older than 18 years of age and must be mobile with minimal assistance.  Mobility with a cane or walker is acceptable.

Cost:  $35 per day.  Fee includes one meal, snacks, routine nursing care, and all daily scheduled activities.   Activities vary each day, but include crafts projects, playing cards, board games, and gardening.  Beauty/barber shop services are also available.
